LMBK Brutalist Jungle Concept

Located in Lombok, Indonesia, this yoga retreat began as a bold brutalist jungle concept focused on strong massing, minimal openings, and lush planted roofs that blend the architecture into the landscape. After sketching and modeling the initial volumes, we pivoted to a Spanish-inspired direction to bring more warmth, softness, and a hospitality-forward feel to the guest experience. It would have been very cool to see this brutalist scheme come to fruition, there’s a cinematic contrast between raw concrete forms and tropical greenery that’s hard to replicate.
